Reduce Your Energy Bills by 40%

Make sure your home is running at peak efficiency.

  • Heat loss through windows, doors and walls
  • Old or incorrectly sized furnace or air conditioner
  • Inefficient light bulbs and kitchen appliances

All of this inefficiency adds up to wasted money.

Our Home Energy Performance team provides a holistic approach to energy conservation.

Our inspectors look at the home as a complete system. (electrical usage, temperature loss, fuel efficiency) eliminating the need to call several different contractors all interested in selling their products.

Our inspectors use a four step approach developed by the Building Performance Institue (BPI), New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), and the U.S. EPA's Energy Star Program:

1.  Initial Consultation - no charge; assess the likelihood of saving energy dollars.

2.  Complete Analysis - sophisticated instruments used to measure energy consumption.

3.  "Workscope"- estimate of energy savings presented to you.

4.  Financing asssistance - help you obtain government grants and low interest loans that are available if BPI certified contractors are used and Energy Star equipment installed.

*After improvements are made, we come back and retest to make sure everything is operating at peak efficiency and that the anticipated energy savings are being realized.
