Joe is the full-time instructor for Halco's MEPS training program, which is a mechanical, electric, plumbing and sprinkler vocational program consisting of 1,000 hours of academic and hands-on training in the following fields: electric 1, plumbing-1, HVAC 1 (including heat loss/gain, combustion analysis, energy efficiency and building performance), sheet-metal and sprinkler. The program has just graduated its 4th class. Starting in February 2010, he will also be teaching the new Energy Efficiency Specialist class.

Joe brings over 35 years of experience in the mechanical trades to Halco. Before coming to Halco, he worked as a Project Manager and Estimator for HMI Mechanical Systems and Bricco Plumbing & HVAC, and ran his own company Hagen Heating and Cooling Inc. He is a NATE Certified instructor, an IGSHPA Ground Source Heat Pump Installer, and an EPA 608 Certified Proctor and Instructor.
